Country Roads

When a road trip takes you south and you need casual attire suitable for lots of time outdoors, what do you pack?! It’s a great question, right? I struggle every time … and it often seems many of the pieces in my wardrobe don’t quite fit the bill. Well, I think I’ve found the ultimate solution. A knit romper! It’s super comfy AND it doesn’t wrinkle. This one is particularly on point because it’s in an easy style and color palette and plays well with others (aka layers easily!). I opted for a jean jacket around my waist to toughen up the look just a bit. So, next time the country calls, simply slip into a romper, grab your hat, keep jewelry to a minimum, ditch your shoes and enjoy the scenery … some very interesting things can happen when you take the road less traveled and trade in your high heels for bare feet. 🙂

Since we are in full fledged SUMMER (yaaasss), I am super tuned in to pieces in my wardrobe that serve double duty. This, my friends, is one of them. When you’re not quite sure of the weather on your next vaca (I hope you have all sun), I have your solution. This strapless jumpsuit is perfect for a rainy, chilly day with the simple addition of a denim jacket and then it’s just as right for a bright sunny day with some light lace-ups. I changed up my jewelry to give you an idea of the array of looks you can create with just a few tweaks. Plus, with a tapered leg, it’s just calling for a barefoot walk sur la plage.

Remember when I posted about my fragrance matching my outfit?! Well, good news – I’m back with another scent that is perfect for the golden days (and nights) of summer. Meet Gilded Fox by Pinrose. It’s a hypnotic blend that, like many of my outfits, can take you from day to night. Simply ditch this hat for heels and (according to Pinrose) do your best ‘come hither stare‘ …. how did I do?! Ha. Short & Sweet

Well, hello there … I have missed you all! It’s been a busy couple of weeks (understatement of the year) so I am going to keep this one as it is aptly named – short and sweet. Since my last post, I have developed a serious case of summer fever with Memorial Day right around the corner and all the greenery (thanks to non-stop rain). So, enter this flouncy little number and crop top. It’s not only sassy, it’s comfortable and functional. The crop can get you all the way through summer and beyond and the skort is another perfect match for the fashion scent I featured in my last post (the refreshing Garden Gangster). One spritz and short & sweet has a whole new meaning.
